Minden is nice! User Rating 2.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Minden, LA is a nice town located near the bustling hub Northwestern hub of Shreveport. This is a cow town with a large sense of community. There is hardly anything to do here other than ride horses or go to Sonic during happy hour. Of course, you can make your own fun hunting an ...Read More d fishing in Louisiana's sportsman's paradise. However, if you are not into this lifestyle, you may prefer the larger Shreveport where there is always something to do. That said, the town is only 20 minutes from Downton Shreveport where a large variety of casinos, shops and restaurant can be found.

There is a local Walmart where you can find anything you might need. However, shopping and dining in Minden, LA is limited to country stores and BBQ. You will not want to live here if looking for something more cosmopolitan. That said, the community is strong and welcoming. You can always count on your neighbors in friendly Minden, LA! Read Less
