10 years Merrifield resident, still loving it 5 rating By Anonymous ( Feb 13, 2022) Bought a home here back in 2012 when they built up the Mosaic. Have been living here since and love it. It's 15 minute drive to DC, 10 minutes to Tysons, 25 minutes from either major airport. I feel it's location is central to everything. It's laid back, has tons of restaurants t ...Read More o choose from (25+ choices walking distance,) no crime and ultimately just a great place to live. I walk outside constantly and major bike trails are only a 5 minute drive away (big into biking.) Lot's of parks within under 10-minutes driving. Fairfax Hospital is a 5 minute drive away as well. During snow storms we walk to restaurants, grocery stores, movie theater, and on the weekends we love walking to the farmers market. Has lots of stores for shopping, and for serious shopping Tysons Corner is a 10-minute drive away. Our neighbors have become our friends (our neighbors are typically 30 - 45 yr old, usually married and some have 1 - 2 kids.) Only things it's missing is a late-night place for drinks (a lounge would be amazing.) Everything shuts down by midnight. Read Less

Breathtaking, unspoiled nature and scenery, wonderful people everywhere you go, great schools, easy-to-find housing, a healthy job market, and practically no crime. We have been living in Merrifield for 12 years ...Read More now and we love it more with each passing year. This is the place my wife and I have decided we want to live in and grow old together, play with our grandchildren here, and just be happy and thankful every day.

This is one of the best areas in Virginia for having fun. We have the Muse Paintbar in nearby Fairfax, where you can enjoy food, drink, and create some art of your own. There's Penguin Paddling for kayaking, paddleboarding, and rafting fun. We have the annual Taste of Merrifield festival, and the amusing Segs in the City Segway tours. There are bigger cities with more things to do, but you honestly won't find a nicer place to live than Merrifield. Read Less
