Merriam, KS is the Bottom of the Barrel! 2 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) If you ever find yourself anywhere near Merriam, Kansas the best advice I can give you is to turn around and drive away as quickly as you can in the other direction. It's embarrassing to me to admit that I have lived here for 12 years now. Living in Merriam has been a depressing ...Read More experience, to say the least. I thought I was moving into one of the best areas in Kansas. I could not have been more wrong. Schools that are an embarrassment, a crime rate that is enough to make you have nightmares, poor job and housing prospects, communities that are falling apart before your very eyes, and citizens who just don't care about the community they live in. It's a disgrace, and it's absolutely not a good place to live, or even visit.

For those of us who are here, we have at least a few things to do for entertainment. There's the Merriam Waterfall Park, KC Night Train party bus rentals and tours, Skate City, Antioch Park, Escape Room Kansas City, and KC Indoor Skatepark. It's embarrassing to say that's about all we have here, but there it is. Read Less
