Mehlville, MO: A Friendly and Close-knit Community User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I love living in a small suburban city like Mehlville. I get the benefit of living in a small, close-knit community with the convenience of being close to a major metropolitan area like St. Louis with its attractions and amenities. Most of the people I know in Mehlville were born ...Read More here, but they have been welcoming and friendly to newcomers like our family.

The quality of life in Mehlville is excellent with plenty of affordable housing. Although some things may be a little more expensive than where we lived before, the cost of living is really about average with other places and doesn’t stress our monthly budget.

There are plenty of local shopping and restaurants. As a note, One Eyed Willies is one of our favorite hangouts and worth checking out. Housing prices seem to be about average, and when we moved to the area, we found a nice home on the outskirts of town without any problem. We have also come to love being close to the Mississippi River and the activities it affords our family. Read Less
