Living in Hollywood is fun and there's always something to do! The main thing is: if you move here, you need to avoid the tourist areas during the summer months, November & December. Otherwise it's a great place to live. I am a producer currently working at Warner Bros and have l ...Read More
ived in Hollywood Hills for over 50 years. I have seen my fair share of changes both good & bad. There are plenty of places to hike in Griffith Park as well as a boat load of attractions for all ages. The famous Hollywood Christmas Parade & the Oscars are just a few of the exciting venues. Hollywood also has a great selection of restaurants, museums, tours, art shows, screenings, etc. The bad changes over the past 50 years is the extra traffic, the homeless encampments & crime which is rampant in all large cities.

I have lived in Hollywood all my life, and I have always found it to be absolutely divine. Famous of course for its dense population of celebrities and movie productions, its attractions still perplex me, a resident of the city all my life. The entire duration of this residency, ...Read More
I lived in Laurel Canyon. Living up to its name, the natural landscape of this region is beautiful and mountainous, attracting populations from all over to indulge within the fresh air and nature.
The main attraction to the residential area of Hollywood includes the main sign, that has been a landmark here for quite some years. In addition, star-seekers come here to see their favorite movie and television stars in their natural an professional element. The drawback to this, however, is the unfortunate effect it can have on the community, making it based upon tourism more than the actually homeowners and residents of Hollywood. It is because of this that some natural residents find it to be chaotic and less than supportive than a traditional community. The food here is created under the pretense of pleasing the pickiest of actors and actresses, which makes the culinary product delicious, while the drawbacks are an inability to be served on a short-term basis because of such "VIP" guests.
The nightlife is something to rave about for myself and my neighbors. As star-spotting is incredibly popular, as are the venues exciting to entertain such high class crowds. The bars and clubs are local and plenty, all of them running through the night to entertain the lively guests. During the day, this scene of clubs and partying turns to that of a shopping based town. Especially appealing to tourists, the shopping here exhibits completely new products and options every day. While the price is out of range for many, the styles and rare items again cater to celebrity status. This city of Hollywood has been home to my family and I all of my life, and I would highly recommend a visit or move to anybody.
