Long Beach has lots of family-friendly activities that make the city pretty attractive, and it's one of the best places for tourists to visit as well. The town has lots of beach-centered attractions, and you can even learn to windsail or surf while you're here, which is fun for the whole family. Empire Kayaks is near the city as well, so you and your family can take canoeing and kayaking lessons for the day.

There are also a few great places to eat and hang out with friends in the evenings, such as Nolan's Pub, a neighborhood eatery that's been around for year. The Maine Course is another tasty restaurant option that offers traditional Irish fare. Additional relaxed locations if you're looking for a late-night bite include the Hub Billiard Club, where you can get a meal and enjoy a game or two of pool.

Historic attractions include Freeport's Nautical Mile, which has lots of landmarks and great scenery, since it's right by the water. Whether you're new to the area or are thinking of moving to Long Beach, you won't be disappointed.
