Write a review about Logan Tell people what you like or don't like about Logan…
Great Place, but it's Getting Crowded 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2022) I love Logan and have lived here or in one of the neighboring towns for 22-24 years. It is starting to get too crowded. Over the last few years Logan has changed immensely and has started to lose a lot of the charm that made it special for so long. It is getting overcrowded due t ...Read More o natural population growth through the higher than average birthrate and all of the people moving here as well. Housing prices have skyrocketed and most younger people in their 20's that I know are considering leaving the area or have more or less accepted the fact that they may never be able to buy a house. Compared to some places housing isn't expensive, but there is a scarcity of it which means if you don't come in above asking price then your offer won't be considered and if you live off of the wages of the area it will now also be difficult to buy a home. Again, I love it here, but even I have considered leaving because it is starting to feel like any other small city, and losing the things that made it special. Read Less
Being a Teen in Logan, Utah 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 28, 2020) Let me start by saying that I love Logan.
The mountains are as pretty as they can get when you live in Utah.
The neighbors and the locals are so kind and amazing to live around.
The BUSES!!! There are buses that go all around cache valley- and the transit center is right next
...Read More to Smiths (the one on 175 E, not main street)! It's very easy to get around this amazing town.
There are plenty of parks, and there's a PERFECT sledding hill up at the university.
Halloween might be part why I give this a 4.5 stars, though. On Halloween, half the houses weren't expecting trick-or-treaters and weren't ready, because "people don't usually trick-or-treat here". I think the reason why is because like 1/3 of the population (or more) is college students and newlyweds and stuff... so there aren't very many people my age that live near me. There aren't many kids either, but teens and kids do exist here. The schools are proof of that.
There's a ballet school right behind the Whittier Community Center-- and a playground right next to it.
The Logan Library could very well be the best thing about Logan, not gonna lie. It has a HUGE selection of books, to start. It also has a large collection of movies, including new ones! We were so surprised to find the live action Aladdin at the library when it just came out LAST YEAR!
The Logan Temple is a beautiful sight to see, that's for sure.
Anyways, that's all of my rambling about Logan! And if you're wondering whether I recommend living here- I definitely do recommend it. Definitely. There are WAY more pros than cons, and you won't regret living here. Read Less
Logan, Utah: Near Perfection in Family Friendly Living 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 13, 2015) I lived in Logan, Utah as a child, and continue to visit my sister there regularly. Logan is a gorgeous city with a small town feel, and I absolutely loved growing up nestled in the mountains of Utah. Although many people have the expectation that living in a college town is for ...Read More the young and single, in my experience this is a very family friendly area despite its proximity to Utah State University.

As a small town with a significant religious population, Logan doesn't boast much in the way of shopping or nightlife, but there are a surprising amount of great, non-chain restaurants in the area. Sushi is my favorite food, and thankfully in recent years good sushi has finally found it's way into Logan. Of all the sushi restaurants in the area, Takara Sushi is by far the best. The fish is fresh, most of the staff is attentive and helpful, and I love the creativity of their specialty rolls. Whether I'm in the mood for something fresh like the Utah roll, or something deep fried and decadent like the Anger Management roll, I've always been blown away by the quality.

If you prefer to be outdoors, Logan will never disappoint. For everyday entertainment, there are places like Merlin Olsen Central Park, where families can enjoy a playground and free swimming in the canal during the summer, or during the winter there is a brand new ice skating rink. Logan is also surrounded by trails perfect for mountain biking, hiking, or backpacking, many of which can be family friendly depending on your fitness level. I have hiked with my young children to the Wind Cave on several occasions, and there is nothing quite like the crisp mountain wind in your face while looking down on Logan Canyon. There are plenty of other caves, creeks, and canyons in the area, and I doubt I will ever run out of new places to explore on my visits. Overall, Logan is a fantastic area for families with beautiful mountain scenery, but the area may not be ideal for secular singles in search of a typical college town feeling. Read Less
