t bordering the Big Apple (New York City), where we experience the best shopping and dining on the east coast. My favorite restaurant is 17 Summer. They offer healthy options and great desserts while dining on the waterfront!
I found it to be close enough to the major urban centers to enjoy the great shopping, restaurants, tourism and interaction with celebrities and of course the elites of Wall Street, yet it still has the feel of a quiet residential, community. I find it convenient with frequent public transportation, local shops, salons, grocery stores and parks, all within close reach. Yet, I can travel into New York City within minutes, where the nightlife and social scenes are second to none!
I love the Broadway plays, posh dining experiences and exotic shopping, these are among some of my favorite things to do. Festivals and the summertime street band performances are characteristic of a real experience. Visiting Little Paris, Italy, Chinatown and so many other cultural communities is an enhanced experience beyond anything you can imagine because it is real-life people in each community going about their daily routine, yet providing each visitor a unique experience. Nothing is simulated and its always 100% interesting and fun!
My neighbors have families. If you are a family moving to the area, the homes are beautiful, reasonably-priced and each house is unique in it's character. I know from conversations that the quality of education for school-aged children are nationally rated well and there are many excellent private school options. Prestigious colleges and universities also align the area. In our neighborhoods we collaborate forming a true community for children to grow up with support. I took our neighbors children to Six Flags Great Adventure, Sesame Place and Seaside Heights beach area(s)which are literally minutes from Lodi. Your teens and millennials' will love these places too!
This city has something for everyone, so be sure to visit soon!
