The city of Livonia is one of the larger cities in Michigan. It's located in Southeast Michigan. Many of my friends at the University of Michigan grew up in Livonia. Oh yeah, that's another great part about living in Michigan. The great Universities offered by our state. Whether you have kids that want to go to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (and pay in-state tuition!) or kids that want the smaller college experience, you have your choices in Michigan. Livonia is also near Wayne State and Detroit Mercy law schools, which is great for people wanting to get that law degree.

Livonia offers shopping centers and many commercial restaurants and bars to choose from, just like most of Michigan. Overall, I would say Livonia is one of the nicer parts to live within Michigan. As long as you are not living IN Detroit, then you're okay! Detroit is a walking disaster, unlike Livonia. Read Less
