This is the worst place I have ever lived. No one says hello or smiles at you even if you are the first one to do it. So very unfriendly regardless of the PR that is put out. Food isn't that great. Mostly fried and so bad for you. There isn't a decent place to shop. Most of ...Read More
the medical facilities are awful. You don't get and accurate diagnosis especially if you go to the hospitals that use TV to get a Dr and no hands on. So much trash on the side of the road and in the ditches. Lazy people. So glad to be moving out of this dumpy dirty place. Van is due any minute.

d an extra day onto their vacation to explore this fun city.
We always make sure to stop when driving down to visit my brother in New Orleans. Historic downtown is growing rapidly with new businesses that each time we see something new was built. One of the "must do" when visiting is to spend some time downtown. There is a white sand beach along the boardwalk, and then the boardwalk connects the beach to many waterfront parks to enjoy the sun and warm breeze from the lake. Many of the houses are unique in their own way as they were built before there were architectures.
There is plenty to do at nighttime, but the most popular is the casino. While in Lake Charles, LA, it is a must to try some Cajun and Creole cuisine. Boudin is a MUST to eat. Boudin is a form of meat such as liver, alligator, or pork with rice, onions, spices that are placed into a casing. Another on the edge of your seat tour that we make sure to do every year is the Creole Nature Trail in Lake Charles, LA. Whether you decide to drive or walk through the trail, every turn you will see breath taking nature everywhere. Enjoy everything from fishing to bird watching. This is what a vacation is all about. So the next time you are on your way down to New Orleans, make sure that you take a few days to enjoy the wonders of Lake Charles, LA.
