La Verne, CA: A Charming Town to Call Home User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) I lived a good portion of my life in La Verne, Ca. Living in La Verne was full of fun and great times. The city is in Southern California and situated between San Dimas and Claremont. It is also next to Pomona which means easy access to the Pomona Fairgrounds where a lot of shows ...Read More , concerts and other fantastic events are held.

The mild weather makes it easy to enjoy all that La Verne has to offer during any time of the year. A short drive north would take my friends and I to the mountains where we would enjoy hiking. A little further of a drive to the South would take us to the Los Angeles basin where we would visit fantastic places like Medieval Times, the Wax Museum and Universal Studios.

La Verne is also considered one of the higher-class and lower-crime areas which makes it a great place to enjoy walks in the warm Santa Ana winds at any time of the day or night. There is an abundance of shopping available in one of the many clean shopping centers or malls. The multi-plex is the perfect place to watch the newest releases and the plentiful arcades and pizzerias means kids can have a lot of fun on the weekends. Read Less
