I was born just down the road from La Merida, California. My parents moved several times while I was young but we always stayed in this part of the state. Southern California has so much to offer with the great weather and all, but I do have to admit, I sometimes wished for a lit ...Read More
tle of the white stuff around Christmas.
After I finished college, I returned to La Merida and I have to a say, it was a good move. I commute to Los Angeles everyday have found the freeways a little crowed at times, but it is the best of both worlds. There are so many things available in the area that my new wife and I never lack anything to do.
The beach is a short drive and we often go year around and enjoy time on one of the local piers or strolling on a sandy beach. I love to ski and Big bear is a great place to enjoy for a day trip. Having the mountains and the beach so close is a great way to start a new married life.
We love theme parks and there are several that are only a stones throw away. Because we are residents of the state some of them offer discounts and so we can go often. The shopping is amazing and we love to try different malls and shopping areas.
I think my favorite part of the area is how close everything is. We can drive into LA to fly out in no time at all. This international airport is great for me because I have to travel in my business. Sometimes we enjoy going to Hollywood and taking a drive around. Not that we really see any movie stars, but it always is a possibility.
This is where we want to raise our family and hopefully it will be possible. Homes are expensive, but in time we plan on buying our first place. I must say I am proud of this place and glad to call it home.
