owls. Mass transit only marginal, primarily via Kirkland Transit Center. Employment is stellar for highly-experienced IT workers, good for me because I switch jobs every c. three years in the modern economy. Property values are climbing, the area continuing a long term march upscale with renovations of obsolete mid-century cottages for ultramodern homes. That reduces the charm, but definitely improves image. Little land to build so they demolish older homes for new, thus owning the dirt is the real property value. Commuting to tech centers in Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, and Sammamish is easy, Seattle (downtown) less-so. School ratings tell their own (good) story. Abysmal dreary and gray weather half the year drives off many, (almost) balanced by superlative and usually-mild summers, pretty springtime, and beautiful fall colors.
