This place used to be a good place to live in back in 2013. Everything has gone downhill from there. I remember leaving mail in the mailbox for a week and it will still be there. Those days are long gone. Lots of homeless people (even in the neighborhoods), drug problems are out ...Read More
of control, takes ages to fix roads, people do not clean up after their dogs, litter, garbage, theft, crime, and a lot more). Can't wait to move out of this city.

This is the place to live if you like meth, tweakers, heroin addicts , and places with a high homeless population! You can’t leave anything unlocked or turn your back on anything for a second or it gets stolen. A nice little stroll down a trail in a park will most certainly lea ...Read More
d you to a homeless persons camp, or a drug injection spot where you can find used needles and trash. They do have public transportation, but you may have to have to sit next to someone that is passed out and crapped them self. People are very unfriendly in this city, and there isn’t all that much to do. The only thing this area has to offer is its relatively close to Seattle and it has the show ware Center where you can watch Thunderbirds hockey.

No clue what the other person was talking about. Emerald downs is NOT in kent. Its further south off the freeway. No nightlife. At all. The one mexican restaurant was probably owned by white people because they had crap burritos and salsa. Didn't give it more than 2 shots because ...Read More
I was over it. (Azteca I mean)
Cotton flys around like no other. I could have made a few shirts by just going to the nearby curb.
It has some hard working people because there is not much else to do. Its pretty close to seattle which is nice.

Last summer I had the pleasure of visiting the city of Kent, Washington for three days. I was working on a contract project in Seattle, which is about 18 miles north of Kent. I decided to make the twenty minute drive to Kent after hearing rave reviews about the scenery. I had als ...Read

o always wanted to visit Emerald Downs Race Track, which is located in the heart of Kent.
On the first evening of my visit, I took advantage of a free outdoor concert sponsored by the city of Kent. The weather was perfect, as was my beautiful view of the mountains. After the concert, I had a late night dinner at Paolo's Restaurant. Their homemade pasta was divine and the service was excellent.
The highlight of my trip was visiting Emerald Downs on Friday evening. As a native of Kentucky, I have always been a huge horseracing fan and had always wanted to visit Emerald Downs. Emerald Downs offered a great array of betting options, my favorite of which was the Pick 4.
As illustrated by my positive review of Kent, Washington, the only thing that could have made my trip to Kent better is a winning Pick 4 ticket!

Kent, WA
Kent is the sixth-largest city in Washington, but you'll feel like you're at home as soon as you arrive. The residents are friendly, and there are numerous activities that allow everyone to interact together. Kent is located in Seattle, but the cost of living in the city is lower than in other areas in the county and in the state. From massive mountains that rise to meet the sky to open fields and parks, the city is one that focuses a great deal on activities outdoors.
The weather in Kent is usually wetter throughout the year than it is in other states as some areas in the city see 30 inches or more of rain. In the winter months, the temperatures can be lower than average. Even with the colder temperatures, there isn't a lot of snow in Kent. However, the spring and summer are usually dry and comfortable without being overwhelmingly hot.
If you have children, you'll be pleased to know that the school system is among the best in the state. Over 30 types of schools cater to the educational needs of at least 27,000 students. Class sizes tend to be small so that teachers can focus on individual learning instead of teaching in large groups.
You can choose from a variety of jobs in Kent. Boeing is one of the largest companies along with other manufacturing businesses. Oberto Sausage Company and General Electric Appliances have offices in Kent as well if you enjoy working in an office setting or in customer service.
Living in Kent is a bit more expensive than in other areas of the state and the country. Homes that are for sale and for rent are above the national average. Transportation costs are also slightly higher than what you'll see in other parts of the country. However, utility costs tend to be average and sometimes below average due to a lack of significant swings in temperatures during the year.
King County Metro is responsible for public transportation in the city. There is a local bus for those who need to navigate the downtown area as well as a bus that connects to other cities near Kent. Artistic beauty is at the forefront of many of the attractions in Kent. From art galleries to history museums, you can spend an entire day viewing statues, paintings, and artifacts. Special programs are held at the library for children, and there are festivals held in parks for all ages that feature music, food, and crafts. The Kent Farmer's Market is another popular attraction where vendors set up tables or sell items right from their vehicles. When you're ready for a night on the town, visit Kent Station where you can enjoy a movie at the cinema or shops and cafes.
