Didn't enjoy living here 1.5 rating By Anonymous ( Nov 10, 2024) We bought a condo after selling our house in Highlands Ranch. We had nothing but problems with people around us doing and selling drugs. We would find broken meth pipes on our patio and in front of the building. City Review of Ken Caryl, CO 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 14, 2018) Ken Caryl, CO is a rather unique community that is a suburb of Denver. I had one of my first apartments here after graduating college and getting one of my first jobs in the area. There are definitely some positives and negatives about the city.

First of all, when I was there I ...Read More enjoyed some of the local attractions nearby. These would include the Chatfield State Park, the Denver Botanic Gardens of Chatfield, the Chatfield Reservoir, and the South Valley Park. At the Chatfield Reservoir, I enjoyed swimming, fishing, and a variety of watersports with my family and friends.

There's also a good sense of community, with a lot of individuals choosing to raise their families here. Along with that community, they're also a number of restaurants nearby as well. The restaurant selection is nothing too terribly impressive, but the fact that Denver is nearby more than makes up for it. There is a good law enforcement presence, and because of that many families feel very safe.

Finally, there are good opportunities for shopping, including the Marketplace at Ken Caryl, which is bustling shopping mall, and the Southwest Plaza Mall, located on the other side of Ken Caryl. Since it's just a suburb, the nightlife is a bit lacking, but I usually would just go to Denver if I wanted to get out of town. Overall, a good place to live and I would definitely move back if I could. Read Less
