Man, Martin city has NO class! User Rating 1 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 15, 2021) So I lived in Martin City, KCMO for a total of 15 years and there many things wrong with it. First off, the cost of living is staggering. They are INSANE. You want to buy a house that's 1300sqft? You're going to knock your self in the head. The prices are horrid, simple stupid.

...Read More Next, THE PEOPLE.
The people here are very rude, silly, and sometimes dumb, this is coming from a native of Littleton in Denver, Colorado; I always was taught to hold open the door before entering an upscale restaurant from my parents and in elementary school, but this is not common knowledge for the people of martin City. I met people who I held open the door for when entering the Pizza Shoppe and they rudely barge in without any "Thank you!" or anything. people in my state of Colorado and in Springfield, MO, and Wichita, Kansas, but not many of them were as rude and impolite as the folks here in Martin City, Missouri. They are the epitome of obnoxious and asinine.

Next, THE HOMELESSNESS.
The people in Martin City have an excessive amount of homelessness, they are on the streets and near WalMart all the time. They beg and harass you for money and clothing and ask you to sign up for things (huh..?)

Next, THE DINING.
The dining is so-so if it's from Martin City originally, and Dos De Oros, Pizza Shoppe (now out of business), and others are what you consider mom-and-pop restaurants, and unfortunately they're expensive.

Next, and finally, THE SHOPPING.
The stores and mom-and-pop shopping villages are ugly as they're in Missouri, which is actually well -known for it's ugliess, no beaches, no glamour, and ultimately, it's a fly-over state. No mountains or beaches in this state, EVER. The shopping areas really blow. They have nothing for the end user.

All in all, definitely avoid this place like the plague. Full of rude people, and the cost of living is pathetic honestly. Trashy, worse than upper KC will be. Read Less
