I probably should've done more homework before living in Junction City, KS. It's not bad, just not what I was expecting. I was looking for more of a small town, safe community, and a great place to raise the kids. Unfortunately, that's not what I've gotten.

The schools here leave a lot to be desired, and I feel like my children are not learning the things they should be. It's not extremely bad, just not the level of education I was hoping my children would receive. To be quite honest, it's more mediocre. But my biggest complaint has to be the crime. I was expecting a very tight-knit community, everybody knows everybody kind of feel. But it's got more of a city feel with hundreds of crimes per year. Most are property related, but there are close to a couple hundred that are serious, violent crimes.

Putting those two things aside, the best area in Junction city is near North Park.
