For example, the Deerwood development is lovely and managed well. The cost of living is average for ...Read More the state and employment is overabundant. Weather is superb here in James Island and there is always a sense of safety and security here. I and my family take long walks in the afternoon along the neighborhood trail without any issues.

Some of the best areas in James Island South Carolina surround Riverland Terrace. There are great views here. It is a historic district that boasts a nice waterway and greenery. More affluent parts of town include Stiles Point Plantation and White Point Estates. The town is close-knit and has a plentitude of local organizations for community improvement. The schools are attentive and helpful in the community. The town is great, has some key scenic spots, and pleasant neighbors. Read Less
