Greatest Area of the Sunshine State You've Never Heard About! User Rating 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) When I found a house in Immokalee, Florida, I thought I won the lottery. The weather in this region of the Sunshine State is amazing all year, and I am far enough south that I don't deal with the tourists who flock to Venice, Sarasota, and Tampa.

Living in Immokalee is paradise, ...Read More I can be at the beaches along the Gulf of Mexico at Marco Island or Sanibel in minutes. The best areas in Immokalee are the countless preserves and state parks all within minutes of my community. From airboat tours to bird watching, this is an outdoor lovers dream come true.

Shopping of all sorts can be found in neighboring Cape Coral and Naples. If you love seafood, you can watch the fishermen literally dropping their catch on the docks as they make their way to the restaurants that dot the coast of the Gulf. When I want culture, a few more miles up the road in Sarasota are incredible theaters, museums, and cultural centers. Read Less
