I've lived in Holly Springs for about 10 years. The town is full of friendly people, and there are quite a few things to do if you enjoy being outside. However, you have to drive about 15 miles away from the town in order to find a good job unless you want to work in a shopping center or restaurant. One thing that I don't enjoy about this area is that the summer months can be brutal regarding the temperatures as well as the humidity. Be prepared to use a lot of sunscreen and a lot of insect repellent if you plan on being outside for any length of time in the summer.

There are several trails in and around Holly Springs. The Blankets Creek Trail System is one of my favorites, especially in the fall. The valleys are gently cloaked in fog, giving the illusion that there is a blanket on the ground instead of numerous trees and mountains in the distance. The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is another popular destination. Special events are held during the year, and you can enjoy swimming or rafting at almost any time.
