Highland Park - Small with an Urban Feel 4.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Highland Park offers a small town with an urban feel. It's one of the best suburbs in New Jersey, but the cost of living is relatively high. The schools, diversity, and activities for families are great. There is always something to do. I feel very safe here as compared to where ...Read More I moved from. We have a rich community culture that works together to get things done. There are many parks, walking/ hiking trails that are within walking distance. The downtown area is always being developed and have nice shops and restaurants.

Some of my favorite places to visit is Rutgers Garden especially in the summer when all of the flowers are in full bloom. I also love taking photos at Monument Square Park. The church on Livingston is very pretty and perfect for family photos. There are also a lot of family activities including Top Golf in Edison, bowling alley, trampoline park and Sky Zone in Plainfield. Overall there are a lot of things to keep everyone busy. Read Less
