By that I mean that living in Harvey you will find a nice eclectic mix of everyone and everything, from older, stately homes and landmarks to newer, upscale buildings and attractions. N ...Read More ot too far away is beautiful, historic New Orleans and all of its nightlife and nonstop entertainment. The best areas in and around Harvey are close to the action in New Orleans, but without being right in the middle of it all. It's the home life in quiet, charming Harvey, then party time "next door" in "N'awlins"!

Full disclosure though, the schools do show as lacking a bit when it comes to test scores and the like, and there's not a lot of diversity when it comes to job availability. But it's a nice place to make a life, settle down, put down roots and raise a family. It's a history-rich area that's also up with the times. It's a great place to be! Read Less
