Harrison: Small town living at it’s finest!

Harrison is small town living that is filled with the regular restaurants and franchises that you’ll find in any larger city, like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts; as well as local farmers markets, city park barb-b-ques and cookouts, 4th of July fireworks, and more recent trending acitivities like Paintball at Harrisonville’s High Performance Paintball, located inside the City Park. It’s a blast and fun for the entire family! My kids and husband love it! Harrisonville is filled with the kind of wholesome, family-oriented activities that the whole clan can enjoy. The local Cass County Farmer’s Market is a great place to visit on the weekends. They feature fresh fruit and hand-crafted items sold by local vendors. Of course, nearby Kansas City is famous for it’s BBQ, but Harrsionville local barbeque can give them a run for their money. Branding Barbeque on Commerical is delicious and a favorite of my whole family! If you are looking for more of a big-city experience, Kansas City is just a little over a 30 minute drive from Harrisonville and you can easily make a nice little day trip there to attend concerts, restaurants and sporting events. The local housing market is thriving and depending on your budget and family size, you can find a nice two-bedroom home for as little as $90, 000 or in the more upscale areas, homes can run as high as $500k. I love living here and the local community is close-knit and welcoming. If you are looking for a family-oriented, small town that’s geared toward families and a slower pace of life, then I’d definitely recommend considering the area.
