Harrison: Small town living at it’s finest! User Rating 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) Harrison is small town living that is filled with the regular restaurants and franchises that you’ll find in any larger city, like Starbucks and Dunkin’ Donuts; as well as local farmers markets, city park barb-b-ques and cookouts, 4th of July fireworks, and more recent trendi ...Read More ng acitivities like Paintball at Harrisonville’s High Performance Paintball, located inside the City Park. It’s a blast and fun for the entire family! My kids and husband love it!
Harrisonville is filled with the kind of wholesome, family-oriented activities that the whole clan can enjoy. The local Cass County Farmer’s Market is a great place to visit on the weekends. They feature fresh fruit and hand-crafted items sold by local vendors. Of course, nearby Kansas City is famous for it’s BBQ, but Harrsionville local barbeque can give them a run for their money. Branding Barbeque on Commerical is delicious and a favorite of my whole family! If you are looking for more of a big-city experience, Kansas City is just a little over a 30 minute drive from Harrisonville and you can easily make a nice little day trip there to attend concerts, restaurants and sporting events.
The local housing market is thriving and depending on your budget and family size, you can find a nice two-bedroom home for as little as $90, 000 or in the more upscale areas, homes can run as high as $500k.
I love living here and the local community is close-knit and welcoming. If you are looking for a family-oriented, small town that’s geared toward families and a slower pace of life, then I’d definitely recommend considering the area. Read Less
