Hanford West High School fails to reach students' needs. They cut funding for skill classes such as mechanics and theatre classes. They prioritize sports; however, they do not fully fund them as students are mandated to hold fundraisers to raise funds. Raising more money only to keep everything stagnant is counterintuitive and forces students' to not improve. People working in the administration disregard mental health issues of students and dismiss accusations made against students' who are in sports. High school is hard enough but being subjugated to bullying and not being able to get the help you need by reporting to mandated reporters is a whole new level of stress.

As a leader on campus, there's a great vibe as I pass through the halls, but like any other high school, it has issues. Teachers need to take control of their students in the class, all student bathrooms must be opened because there are so many students, and the most difficult to change is the midset of the students. Unfortunately, there is no high school spirit.
