This one is just right! 4 rating By Anonymous ( May 23, 2018) My husband and I have moved around quite a bit in the last 3 years, but I think we finally found a keeper. We've been living in Hammonton for about 3 months now and so far its everything I was looking for. Its pretty quiet, just suburban enough for us after living “the city lif ...Read More e” for our entire lives. There's just enough nature here to make me feel like I've escaped it all but there's a Walmart and an Applebee's right around the corner.

I visited Hammonton Lake Park for the first time the other day and walked the trail; Breathtaking. In my opinion, one of the best areas in Hammonton. You can't beat a lake view, you just can't. I was actually kind of surprised to find some decent discount shopping around too considering what we're paying for our place. I am always amazed and delighted at how many “expensive” areas have a Goodwill nearby.

There are a few downsides though. My husband and I are thinking about having children so we checked out some of the schools nearby. I have to say, I was not impressed. I could be setting my expectations a little high, not having kids and all but I want the best for my babies and I just didn't see it. Also, it could just be my poor sense of direction but I've been having a hard time navigating my way in and out of town. I really hate taking toll roads but that seems like the easiest way. Overall though, I think Hammonton is a good fit for us right now. Its a sweet little town. Read Less
