The City of Gretna, LA uses restrictive speed limits and mobile speed traps (plain white Ford Escapes with camera and lights on the roof rack) to help solve a budget shortfall instead of being fiscally responsible and controlling spending. As an example, the city has placed 25 mp ...Read More
h speed limits on major four lane roads, then placed mobile speed traps on these roads and at exit ramps from the Expressway to the surface streets to generate unethically derived revenue for the city. These methods used by the city have been shown to be unconstitutional in other cities and states.
Please join my move-on.org petition to let the mayor know that S. LA drivers will boycott city businesses unless the city ceases these unwarranted practices.
