I've been living in Granite Bay for a year now and I like living here a lot. It's a small town and as such doesn't have a lot to offer, but the cities natural beauty is more than enough for me. Granite Bay overlooks Folsom Lake, which is by far the best area in Granite Bay. There is a lot of forest area that surrounds the lake which makes it a beautiful area to visit.

There's a shopping center downtown and Granite Bay has some stores that can offer you most of what you'll need. If you want to try out new restaurants or visit a mall, you'll have to check out a neighboring city. There is little in the way of shopping here in Granite Bay. Real estate here is expensive, even by California standards. A decent amount of residents here probably commute to the city for work, which is why it's such an expensive city to live in.
