GT has been my home for over 34 years, I grew up here as a kid, and moved back as an adult. My wife and I started out in Colton and then lived in San Bernardino for 5 years before the growing crime rate pushed us back to GT. Grand Terrace is not perfect, far from it. We have a ...Read More
diverse range of people here who don't always see eye to eye. We have a growing crime rate which has increased ever since the city put in more apartments about 20 years ago. The areas to our north and south are not very savory and seem to be the source of most of our crime. That being said, violent crime hardly ever happens here and when it does it is a huge crisis where people think the sky is falling. Most of our crime is property crime with packages being stolen off of porches, vehicle break ins (had my tailgate stolen from my driveway once), and the very rare burglary.
What is great about GT is it is a little town right in the heart of the IE. You can feel safe taking a walk late at night, and it is a very family friendly place. Oh one last negative thing...all the people moving into the surrounding area are making the traffic horrible.

My family and I call Grand Terrace, California home and we are absolutely in love with this community. My children attend the local schools and they are the happiest I have ever seen them in a school district. My oldest attends the recently opened, newly built high school and wow ...Read More
, that place is really state of the art.
Living in Grand Terrace provides us with the small town feel that we were so desperately craving when we moved here. There are multiple events throughout the year that gives community members a chance to get out and meet new people and just enjoy what the community has to offer. These events are absolutely great and well planned.
The town is expanding, but luckily is maintaining its charm. With the expansion, there are new dining areas and shopping areas beings added. These new areas are the best areas in Grand Terrace, California because they offer everything that you may need while keeping you from having to travel to a larger local town.
