      Friendly & Homey
I absolutely love Glendale, AZ. The city has such a friendly atmosphere, plus all of the perks of a big city, with a low cost. Moving from The Bay Area in California — Silicon Valley to be exact. I was looking for city life, for half the price; and that’s exactly what Glendale is! I live in Upper Glendale, and it has shopping, fine dining, great communities, tons of attractions and beautiful landscaping. Although, the highlife, such as clubbing and what not isn’t really happening. The neighbors are friendly and always ready for a good conversation. There’s never more than a 15 minute drive to do what you want to do. What more could you ask for? ♡

      Save yourself Misery
Glendale, AZ is overpopulated and run down. There are a lot of shopping centers in the area, however they are the same stores on every corner. The environment is not aesthetically appealing and there are not a lot of activities for children. This is a good place for college students.

Glendale, AZ is a Great Place to Live
I have lived in Glendale, Arizona for the last three years. Prior to this, I lived in a nearby town for 25 years. Glendale is home to the Luke Air Force training base and I live across the street from the south runway. While I get to see all of the air shows from my front porch, the daily noise of the jets taking off on their practice missions can be a bit annoying at times. On the other hand, I love the peaceful gated community I live in and all that Glendale has to offer.

The city is rich in Spanish culture with a fascinating historical past, and some of the roads on the outskirts of Glendale are still lined with fields of crops. Downtown Glendale is unique and full of interesting, beautiful, restored old homes and buildings. Merchants now occupy many of these historical buildings and the city puts on year-round events here that have something for everyone in the family.

Glendale and the surrounding towns and communities present many indoor and outdoor shopping malls, famous Cardinals Stadium, University of Phoenix Stadium, Cerreta Candy Company and Thunderbird Park. The city has many great restaurants and is also noted for having some of the best Mexican food restaurants in Arizona, including, Bitzee Mama's, 3 Margaritas and Rubio's Baja Grill. Glendale has great school systems and many neighborhood family parks. I not only love living in Glendale because of all it has to offer, but because the people who live here are very friendly.

      Sports Reign In Glendale
My husband is an avid sports fan, so we have been to Glendale, Arizona several times. This city has many professional teams that call it home or train at its facilities. Hockey fans will enjoy watching the Coyotes, and baseball enthusiasts can watch the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox practice at the Camel-Back Ranch. Also, those who enjoy football won't want to miss the Arizona Cardinals playing at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Glendale also has great a bunch of interesting festivals and attractions. The Chocolate Festival in February is perfect for those with a sweet tooth. In April, Glendale plays host each year to the Jazz and Blues Festival, which brings great artists and a lively atmosphere to the city.

For dining, my favorite stop is La Perla restaurant. They serve mouthwatering Mexican food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Glendale is also home to several good shopping districts, including the Historic Downtown. This area has been named one of the country's ten best places for shopping by "USA Today" and "Sunset Magazine." Obviously, Glendale is more than just a haven for sports fanatics!
