Fruit Cove is a small town in Florida that you would miss if you blinked while driving through. However, I have lived here for about two years and enjoy each minute of being in the small town. There are few houses, making it a town that's easy to walk through during the day and in the evening. It's a safe town to live in compared to other cities I've lived in before. There are many evenings when I will walk on the sidewalks and stop to chat with some of the people sitting on their front porches.

Since it's a small town close to Jacksonville, there aren't many attractions or even restaurants, but Jacksonville is close enough so that you can easily drive a few miles to do things with the family or by yourself. Mandarin Park is my favorite place to go when I want to walk on trails or see the ducks in the small pond. There are also a few shelters where you can have a picnic. The Mandarin Museum is another favorite in Fruit Cove. It features a lot of antiques and items that tell about the history of the town and Florida.
