Look no further, the Woodward Park are is the best place to live in the Central 5 rating By selenebug ( Apr 29, 2016) I love living in the Woodward Park area. I currently rent a home in Woodward lake and it's costing me as much as renting an apartment in Clovis. I know I got a deal! I've lived in so many places in Fresno and in Clovis but this by far is my favorite. Why? 1. People are legit frie ...Read More ndly. At first I thought it was some type of joke or maybe that I was on a show. Our neighbors introduced themselves. Then introduces us to our other neighbors. They welcomed us with open arms (literally.) 2. No discriminationNow me and my husband stand out in a crowd. We have diverse nationalities, are really tall, and really tan. People often ask us what nationality we are because they can't figure it out. With that being said while living in Clovis we often felt out of place. People would look at us funny and we were even denied service at a couple of bars. Everyone in this area is so welcoming and it quite often still shocks us. We actually feel like we belong. 3. Best places to eat!Talk about having the best of everything. From Thai to Mexican to Ethiopian to good ole American food. Everything is a 5 minute drive or if you're lucky a 10 minute walk. But don't just believe me, check out the Yelp reviews. 4. Best places to shop!River park is only a 8 minute drive! There's so many deals there. For the ladies, theirs an Ulta nearby! For the gents, there's sports bars everywhere where you can wait for your lady as she shops. There's a target, Tj Maxx, Kohls, Macy's, H&M, Victoria's Secret, Ross, Toys R' Us, etc. Granted the Fashion Fair Mall has more options, hop on the freeway and you're 15 minutes away. 5. Awesome place to raise a family or in our case our dog. There's so many activities happening everyday at Woodward Park. From concerts to marathons. You'll always have something to do. People are super dog friendly for my fellow dog lovers. There's plenty of parks for them. And trails to run with them Hope this review helps. I spent zero time correcting my spelling.
