Bullard, Fresno - Pretty Good All 'Round 3.5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 21, 2012) I have lived in Fresno for nearly my entire life and I have spent most of that time in the Bullard area. I was raised in Old Fig and then my family moved here when I was around 5. I went to Tenaya Middle School and then to Bullard High School so I have traveled much of this area ...Read More for many years. While many people have nothing but bad things to say about Fresno this is because they haven't been to the right areas. It is a nice community and while there may be some crime that usually only happens in the south part of town. Staying north of Shaw is the key to seeing the best of Fresno.

The neighboorhoods in this area of town are quite nice. Many college educated families that give to the community and are great neighbors. There is literally races from all around the world in this area and it they all work together in harmony. This also means that there is a large selection of restaurants to choose from ranging from Indian to Thai to even Armenian restaurants. There is never a lack of different kinds of foods to eat. During the day however the number of things to do is quite disappointing. There isn't a lot of options to choose from and there are the movies or shopping but not much else to do in this area during the day. However, during the night there are a lot more options. A small drive to the Fresno State College area will land you in an area with many nightclubs or bars to choose from. While it may seem like a desolate place the people here really do know how to have fun. There is also many large shopping malls to choose from including Fashion Fair for those who need to shop!

While Fresno may not have the best reputation, this area of town is my favorite and one that I have lived in for many years. The community is full of truly nice people from all over the world and the food can be some of the best. While it does have its downfalls during the day it makes up for it with great activities to do during the night and a lot of fun people to enjoy it with. This is the best of Fresno. Read Less
