A lot of Alabama can get pretty hot and humid, but Enterprise is one of the more charming parts of the region.
A decent breeze comes through--which isn't common in a lot of the state--and makes a good sunny day a treasure. I've lived in South Carolina before as well, and although the temperatures and humidity can be the same or higher than in Alabama, it's that breeze factor that makes SC more bearable.
Enterprise pretty much has that same benefit. Living in Enterprise, AL was affordable and the housing market was great for the amazing houses in the area. My dream combination of Southern charm and modern class combined perfectly in not just my home, but quite a few others in the area.
The best areas in Enterprise, AL are around Lake Oliver, the country club, and between Hillcrest and the Wooded Acres for the restaurant access.
The drive to the beaches of Florida are a little under 2 hours, so you can enjoy the coast on vacation without a flight--and without dealing with Florida's taxes!
