For golfers there is the Serrano Golf Course which is a private course and Empire Ranch in Folsom is a hop, skip, and a jump away. For families there are great schools and parks. For boaters, water skiers, wake boarders Folsom Lake is right at your door step. Although I am not into nightlife I can not comment on it except to say there are many summer concerts in the CSD park and at Town Center that attract a lively, fun crowd. More and more restaurants are opening in El Dorado Hills and you can find just about any type of food you are looking for at all price ranges. El Dorado Hills is so convenient to just about everything. I mentioned golf clubs and Folsom lake but it is also close to Apple Hill (Camino) and Old Hangtown (Placerville) which are fun areas to explore. El Dorado Hills is only 2 hours from Lake Tahoe for skiing and summer fun or 2 hours the other direction to San Francisco. Downtown Sacramento is about 25 miles down highway 50 and there is traffic during commute times. Sacramento State University is about 20 miles away and there is a great community college nearby.
