The public transport lines are okay, but it can be dangerous for kids to travel alone in some areas of the city.

The crime is really bad in this area, it can be extremely dangerous if not prepared for this type of environment. The school districts are sub-par as well. This region is about as dense as you would expect for a popular California city like East Whittier. The congestion can be outrageous and annoying during rush hours or weekends.

Overall, if you are willing to deal with the negatives, then the positives can be worth living in this region. One major positive is that the weather is very appealing at all times of the year. Read Less
