I have been living in Douglasville for 13 years and find it to be a unique small town atmosphere in the outskirts of Atlanta Georgia that has the basic necessities to live a quiet life without a lot of hustle and bustle. the schools in Douglasville are not that great however it is one of the better cities as far as high school education in the state of Georgia.
Douglasville has all the normal restaurants shopping and other basic activities such as parks, however, the nightlife is very limited in the city. That can easily be overcome by commuting to Atlanta which is not that far away however you have to deal with the traffic during rush hour if you're heading that way during that time frame. Douglasville is known for its Douglas County Cultural Arts Center in downtown. the best areas in Douglasville to live or off of Church Street what does a lot of activities and it's a very historic area. I love Douglasville and would not trade it for any other city in the metropolitan or Suburban Atlanta area.
