In 2009 my husband and I took our three children on vacation in Denton Texas. We decided on the city of Denton at the last minute. We originally planned to stay in Dallas, but we didn't want to stay in the big city. Denton was the perfect alternative for us. It is just an hour drive from downtown Dallas, so we could still visit the city easily. The people in Denton were very friendly and there was not one single time that we ever had poor customer service at any of the places we stopped in. Our hotel accommodations were great and priced just right for our budget. We would have payed nearly double the price of our room if we stayed in a Dallas hotel.

There were so many neat things for us to do and many attractions to see as a family in Denton. The Sky Theater Planetarium was very impressive and entertaining. We spent two days exploring the parks and ranches, and had a great time exploring horse country. My daughter still talks about the mustangs we saw! Each day we woke up we were faced with dozens of things to do, and we ended up only going into Dallas once. The shopping experience in Denton is one I will never forget. The stores were so charming and very unique. Each Denton held our attention all on it's own!
