Davidson, NC is a beautiful city that rests against Lake Norman. It's along Highway 77 and has a lot of amazing places to eat and shop.
A lot of the cities I choose for working remotely need to have decent internet and a stable telephone system. Aside from that, I try to get a vacation home or short-term rental in areas that are just outside of big cities while getting a bit of suburban and rural exploration done.
Living in Davidson will give you access to Charlotte, Gastonia, Concord, Salisbury, and Hickory without too much trouble Chatlotte, NC is just under half an hour away by car, and Highway 77 is a fairly easy route into the city with plenty of alternatives if there's a traffic jam.
The best areas in Davidson, NC would be Lake Norman lakeside. All of the best stores and restaurants in the town are near the lake, and you can get access to Highway 77 and 21 without much fuss.
Away from the lake itself, there are a few other great eateries along Main Street. Plenty of options!
