Living The Country Life in Damscus, MD In The Shadows Of Big Cities 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 16, 2018) Living in Damascus, MD, you can drive to either Baltimore or Washington, DC in under an hour. The difference between Damascus and those cities though is like night and day. Damsacus, MD is a rural refuge for families to raise their children away from the urban atmosphere. Damascus, MD is also known for being unique in that even though it is a small town it has several unique and ethnic restaurants. Smokehouse BBQ is one of those restaurants with BBQ cooked slow and over low temperatures giving it a great smokey flavor. Peruvian Chicken and Grill is another having that sweet and spicy combination characteristic of the style.

Winters in Damascus can be harsh. It is located just far enough north of WAshington, DC and west of Baltimore it sees frequent snows. These storms can be over a foot. Read Less
