It's completely ass backwards, there are nothing but drug addicts, low ball employers who expect you to work to death for air, and shiesty people. There are a few good people but they're outnumbered. There are too many independent franchises owned by scam artists from various cities who rip off their employees, the retirees and the clueless locals. Yet everyone thinks it's so much cheaper to live here. Compared to California, New York, and that rathole Florida, that may be right, but fact is this is one of the least affordable places in TN. After you add everything up, even Nashville is way more affordable. Crossville is broke, trashy, and depressing. The roads are in terrible condition, the property crime is through the roof, and everyday I swear I'm in a big nursing home with elderly who shouldn't be allowed to drive. The nicer areas are way too expensive. If you move here and you don't already draw a good pension, you will get stuck here because you won't make enough money to live let alone leave.
