How Cottage Lake Has Great Natural Places To Visit 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 10, 2018) Cottage Lake is a surprisingly quiet place to live given it is not that far from the city of Seattle, Washington. It is mostly single family homes although there is a Target and a Walgreens. What I think are the best areas in Cottage Lake are the parks. Right next to Cottage Lake ...Read More there is the Basset Pond Natural Area which is a nice place to go on a relatively short walk. For those who want to spend an afternoon walking and hiking I think they should go to the Paradise Valley Conservation Area.

One thing people moving here should be aware of is that the housing prices are rather high. The homes start around $550,000 and go up to $4.5 million. Also, the vast majority of people will need to commute to their jobs and both 522 and 405 are generally really congested highways. Most people I know who live here spend about 1 1/2 hours commuting a day if they work in Bellevue or Seattle. Read Less
