I’m a frequent golfer and play at Georgia Veteran's Memorial Golf Course situated on the shores of Lake Blackshear. This is the best area in Cordele and after a relaxing game; I stop by the Cypress Grill at Lake Blackshear Resort. This lakeside resort has many recreational activities close by like hiking and fishing. I hosted my daughter’s wedding at this venue and many well known artistes regularly perform here.

Shopping for my family takes me to Cordele Square where there's a good selection of stores and a five-screen movie theatre. Our Farmer’s Market sells and distributes watermelons all over the US. Although this is only a small town, we have a lot going on, new housing shooting up, small businesses changing hands and unfortunately an above average amount of petty crime. Read Less
