This place is improving. 5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 11, 2020) My wife and I are from rural upstate NY. We have lived in California, Texas and Georgia since getting married. At first I was concerned because Clearfield has so much industrial space and isn't very rural or even suburban, but it has been so much more comfortable to live in than ...Read More I had expected. Crime is insanely low, like I leave my garage door open all night regularly and I'm fine. The city is working on new parks, community engagement, and improving infrastructure all the time. High density housing and quality new builds are in progress, amenities are absurdly close and abundant, and traffic is so low and manageable. This is a fantastic place to grow up or raise your children. Not to mention the real estate here is very affordable. Frankly I think that a lot of people look down on Clearfield because it's got a high minority population and they're perhaps unconsciously a little biased against it for that reason. Its not bad, the people are great, and there's no reason to stay away. Read Less

Being in the military, Clearfiled has been the based place to be stationed. Hill Air Force Base adds to the sense of security and protection. ...Read More The school are great as well, located close to the house, which I feel helps in keeping them safe above all.

The weather can be a bit harsh, but I think the benefit is it keep many people off the road, adding to the communities safely. Otherwise, it is a small town, but if you head down the main raid, you’ll eventually run into Layton. Nice local city with a mall, restaurants, shopping centers and the like.

Best of all, is when the season change. The trees are so beautiful in fall, turning various colors and really adding the character of the area. Highly quaint, convenient and safe town. Nothing like it. Read Less
