Clarksburg, MD is located on the Interstate 270 technology corridor. The town is 4 miles north of Germantown and 52 minutes west of Baltimore. The total area is 8.3 square miles. The town is named after trader John Clarke. One of its early settlements was called "Hammer Hill." Some believe that an inn in Clarksburg might have served the Sons of Liberty planning for the American Revolution in 1776. Children can play in a number of parks, including Park Daniel, Little Bennett Campgrounds, Black Hill Regional Park and Ridge Road Dog Park. If you want good shopping, you can check out the Clarksburg Premium Outlets. It has 90 stores. Clarksburg, MD has the GrillMarX Steakhouse, Red Bowl Sushi, Pizza 500 and Asian Chao.
