Love my family 5 rating By Anonymous ( Sep 30, 2019) So alot of people told me you don't want to move to Claremont, NH well 3 years ago We moved to town and now i have a house for my family and pets big yard it's so amazing It's such a beautiful place with lots of beautiful mountains good fishing spots amazing race track love the h ...Read More ospital people are so nice.Im so glad i keep talking to people now I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. There's an Amtrak station in town making it convenient to get around if you travel. And I love how big the yards are and i don't think the property tax is that bad and people are so helpfull here Claremont is Allot smaller then Manchester and Nashua so the town is on top of the pot holes the plowing very fast on repairs to roads.
We have stores and car dealerships we have a
All the stuff as a big city with out the big city problems.
You like going biking or snowmobiling you like trails 4x4 tucks mudding YouTube (cats hole) lots of fun
This town is great and growing.
There are plenty of businesses who're always hiring. Full-time, part-time or temporary work you can find any type of job imaginable. The residents here are very kind and courteous. Welcoming everyone into their close community!
My kid's like this school better then the big city school's that we came from. Read Less
Proceed With Caution 0.5 rating By Anonymous ( Jun 15, 2018) Claremont is the redneck armpit of New Hampshire. If you want to live in the bowels of MAGAt town this is the place for you. Do you like seeing Confederate flags flying from your neighbors flag pole and the back of pick up trucks, then come on up. New England Dixie is awaiting. I ...Read More f you are looking for a rewarding career selling fertilizer and chicken coops, Runnings is hiring. If you prefer a more a more lucrative market, Walmart is always hiring Part Time workers with the added benefit of applying for Food Stamps. If selling chain saws is your thing there is a Home Depot. That basically covers the local employment atmosphere. In the "Historic Shopping District" businesses open and close faster than the speed of light. Except for the Bounce House. That has been there for about 2 years now. It's a great place to leave your kids unattended while parents talk about how it is the mother's fault a black boy was lynched last summer. The nightlife is non-existent. There is one Chinese Restaurant that a Neo-Nazi was recently shot and killed in front of the music/dance club adjoining. Claremont is the kind of town one can move to and live in for over 15 years and still be considered an outsider. There is one sculpture in the Visitor's Center, that the locals fought judiciously because they did not see a reason for 'art'. No matter how many times it was explained in the local paper that it was not paid for with tax dollars, it was funded entirely by Donations, people still insisted otherwise. Speaking of taxes, Claremont has the highest property taxes in the state, often exceeding $5,000.00 a year. For which you do not even get trash pickup. The police cannot keep experienced police officers because even with the outrageous taxes they cannot afford to keep them and they go to work in towns like New London. The City Council is populated with old white men who cannot think past 1959. The school system in Claremont is literally the worst in the state of New Hampshire. If your child is planning a career in pillow making than Claremont Middle School is the place for them. It is ranked in the at the bottom of State Rankings. If you are still planning to move to Claremont, you will not be able to find decent work with benefits without driving at least an hour or more to other towns like Hanover. There are far far far better options if you insist on living in the Live Free or Die Trying State. Read Less

There are plenty of businesses who're always hiring. Helping any newcomers to establish themselves and get on their own two feet. Full-time, part-time or temporary work you can find any type of job imaginable. The residents here are very kind and courteous. Welcoming everyone into their close knit community!

The northern part of town is one of the best areas in Claremont, NH! There's a Walmart Supercenter right around the corner, ideal for one-stop shopping. Sometimes I'll venture over to Water Street and grab a bite to eat at The Common Man Restaurant. Even though they don't open up until 4 pm, the food is so good it's well worth the wait. Read Less
