New Tax IncentivesWith the unemployment rate at 11%+, what is the city doing/planning on in order to attract high tech companies to the valley? There has to be some kind of tax incentives to offer companies. When I was managing a large semiconductor company, we were offered tax deferment for 5 years, zero cost for water, zero cost for waste, and electrical cost drastically reduced. As far as a talent pool, we have a lot of people living here (Ceres, Modesto, Manteca, ...) that commute to silicon valley, having a high tech company would be heaven sent. Given the troubles overseas coupled with the new administration tax cuts, this might be a good time to put a plan together and present it to several silicon valley companies.Henri
