Campbellsville, KY: Not The Greatest Place I've Lived User Rating 3 rating By Anonymous ( May 28, 2018) I suppose in the grand scheme of things there are worse places one could live than Campbellsville, Kentucky. I do have to be honest however and say that Campbellsville is not one of the best areas in Kentucky to call home. I should know. I've been living in Campbellsville for 17 ...Read More years. I've watched this community steadily decline from a nice, neighborly place to a place where the crime is creeping up, the quality of the schools is creeping down, and the jobs are leaving this area along with them the people. Everything is starting to look grim and dilapidated. It just isn't the nice little town it used to be. I'm holding out hope that the people who are still here will join forces with some new blood and rebuild our once nice little Community.


We don't even have too many attractions or things to do to recommend us. We have Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace and National Park, the Maker's Mark Distillery, Mammoth Cave National Park, and Central Plaza Shopping Centers. Sad to say but that's about the extent of it. I'd love to say that things are better here, but that would be less than honest. Read Less
