Most people think that living in Florida means that you have to endure scorching heat most of the year. This is not the case for me, living in Callaway means I don't get the oppressive heat that you find down at the bottom of Florida because I am on the west coast of the panhandle. My house is a few minutes from Panama City and the whitest sand beaches on the planet.
While most of the tourists are in Miami, Daytona, and Orlando, there are hardly any tourists or traffic to be concerned about in my area. The best areas in Callaway are the beaches, and they stretch from the border of Alabama all the way to the Cedar Key.
There are countless activities in this region to enjoy, and one of my favorites is swimming with the manatees. Exceptional seafood, diverse shopping, and plenty of attractions along the panhandle, just some of the reasons I love living in the Sunshine State.
