BHC Great Place to Live User Rating 5 rating By Anonymous ( Dec 08, 2020) We just recently purchased a home in BHC off McCormick Blvd in Sunridge Estates, the area is nice, clean, super quiet and great neighbors all the houses are very well kept a decent show a sense of pride in ownership. The city retail has grown leaps and bounds everything you ne ...Read More ed is close by, Sam’s club, Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s and a Dutch Brothers I have nkthi g to complain about amid all the people are so nice. Lived here for 3 years User Rating 4 rating By Anonymous ( Oct 25, 2020) I live up off McCormick just N of the city and live well up here with great neighbors. The crime and drug problems exist off 95 down by the river where the city proper is and homes are cheap in that area. I would cut off my own leg before living down in that area. If you move ...Read More here purchase a more expensive home up in the hills.
Be aware that contractors will attempt to charge you more if you live in a nicer home and/or look like you are from California. I sidestepped that by hiring contractors from Kingman.
The jobs here are all in retail/tourism so not great paying. DOT foods has a small warehouse here so that is another option, I believe they pay about $15 an hour. I work from home and where I am at the internet is good, but the internet service is unreliable unless you pay for a 'business' internet plan with a defined SLA, as I do. The city is working on getting us other internet options than Suddenlink.
The casinos in Laughlin are very close by and offer many options as far as nightlife. The river front is beautiful.
If you enjoy water sports and extreme summer heat, and are retired or work from home this could be the place for you.
Shopping for more than groceries and the basics can be troublesome, we have some stores but not a great variety. Las Vegas is 90 minutes away on good roads.
The summer heat is troublesome for me but otherwise I am quite happy here. Read Less

Love this little town User Rating 5 rating By AZ4life ( Mar 30, 2016) BHC is a nice place to live if you are away from the 95. I currently live off McCormick off the 95 and up there is away from everyone. Safer then living down the hill, don't get me wrong theft is up there as well but not as much as you go into BHC. This town is for snowbirds and ...Read More elders but there are families and retired people. If you have kids, not much to do with them here other then parks, one arcade place, movies, river and school. Schools aren't that great here I heard as well. Food is mostly in Laughlin, we have little here and here. Mexican to Italian, not like it would be in the city. Everything is down the 95 don't have to go anywhere off grid to go eat. If you like HOT weather in summer, place is for you :-D We don't have much for shopping, laughlin mall has a few stores and we have a Kohls, JCpenny, Ross and target. Read Less
